In this blog I will be writing about my final outcome of my 'Brand' image and how I have produced it into its final advert. In my previous blog I explained how I produced my images due to the prepared practice of the; photoshoot set up, make-up, assistance and designs. Overall, the main aim for my final advert is to produced an image for my make-up brand 'M.A.C' which represents the idea of being unique and bold through its products while still taking inspiration from my inspirational word 'fill'.

Editing:

The image of the right hand side is the original RAW image that I produced at the photoshoot. On the left hand side is my final edited image of my model. I found that with this image I wanted to make the colours more intense as they appeared a bit more dull in the original photo. First of all when starting to edit I wanted to erase any small facial hairs and small blemishes which I completed with the spot toll. I did not want to over edit any elements of the face as I want my model to appear 'real' and as original as possible but with slight improvements. To enhance the colours I changed the contrast, adjusting the light and dark colours which enhanced the dark shadow around the edge of the photograph. I then adjusted the colour balance on the image which brought out the colour of the oranges and reds within the make-up which really made the colours pop.

Then shown in the final image in this blog is my final outcome brand image and advert. I added in the white 'M.A.C' logo on the bottom right hand corner. I added in the product of the M.A.C lipstick in the bottom right hand corner as well. I changed the colour of the lipstick to match the lips by colour swatching the colour of the lips to match and to finish off I gave a slightly white glow around the edge of the product to make the product the main theme as this is what the advert would be selling.

Final shoot:

In this blog I will be writing about my final shoot and how I felt it went. In this shoot my aim was to complete a final outcome image that would represent my word 'fill' while representing my given brand 'M.A.C'. During my previous research I new I wanted to create an image that filled up the whole page and represented a bold and unique feel. I believe the make-up and the composition would best represent my inspirational word 'fill' while my brand M.A.C was represented through the unique make-up style and bold colours. The brand itself represents the meaning of being bold and different with their brand of make-up and that it has no boundaries in its creativity.

Photoshoot layout:

For my photoshoot and shown on the left hand side is the layout of how I set up my shoot to produce the images shown below. I create a black back drop for my photoshoot as to create a dark back drop and mood to my images. I put two soft boxes either side off my model but on a low light as to create low dark lighting either side of my models face. Then I positioned an over head ring light on a low level light over the top of my model and with all three of these lights it created a low lighting shoot. This lighting meant that my models main features where lit on a low lighting and created more shadow which is what I wanted to create. Shown in the mood board below I wanted to create images similar to this and by having this lighting set-up I hoped to achieve this. I wanted to create dark filled and close-up images as this incorporate the meaning of my word 'fill'.

Outcomes:

Shown below are my favourite outcomes of images that I captured during my shoot. I did find it difficult to create a dark image without losing the features of the face but I believe I have captured detailed and in focus close-up images that represent my inspirational word and brand very well. To solve my problem of not creating the image as dark as I would have liked I would darken the image during the editing process. When editing I would just take out some blemishes and tiny facial hair and I really want to enhance the colours of the make-up on the face.

Overall, I feel that my shoot went very well as I had a lot of preparation done prier to the shoot. I had produced a plan of the time, place, model and lighting set-up therefore I knew exactly what I wanted to set-up and produced when I arrived on the day. Having preparation meant that I saved a lot of time and this is a key style in the fashion industry as time is money. Prier to the shoot also I practiced the make-up to make sure I new exactly how to do it on the day and what the best way of doing it was. With this look especially I had to create sharp lines therefore I found the best way to create this is by using celeotape on my model to mark out the make-up, which I did have to practice. I am very pleased with my outcome and I now just need to edit and produce my images into adverts for my chosen brand M.A.C.
